Searching Effectively
We offer several search options on the Find a Business page. You can search by criteria, category or location.

The criteria search allows you to search by: Biz Type, Category, Desired Price Range, State, Country and Date Listed. You can choose to search using variations of all these criteria items to narrow down your search or simply choose one or two items of importance to you for a broader range of business.

The category search will give you a listing of businesses in the specific category you choose. This makes it easy for you if you have specific areas of interest. Click on "Wholesale Trade" for instance and you will be brought to a page that lists all the "Wholesale Trade" businesses in our database.

The location search breaks down your search to specific countries, regions, states and provinces. You can choose to search from the world map or from our drop down menus. To search multiple countries: from the drop down menu, hold down the Ctrl button and click multiple countries with your mouse.

Biz Type vs. Biz Category
Biz Type is the kind of business it is, i.e. home business, franchise, retail. Biz Category is the industry it is in, i.e. agriculture, utilities, construction. We include the Biz Type to help you narrow down your search.

Desired Price Range
Most people have a good idea of what they can afford and what would be a stretch for them. We offer the Desired Price Range to allow you to search for businesses in specific price ranges to make it easy to find not only the perfect business but a business you can afford.

Date Listed
The Date Listed feature allows you to bring up businesses listed in the last 30 days or last 7 days. The benefit of this feature is that you can search on the most recent additions to the database, increasing your chances of successfully obtaining the business ahead of other users.

Do I have to select all the form items?
No. You have the choice of selecting only the items that are important to you. We offer multiple criteria selections simply to help you narrow down your search.

How does the Category Search work?
The category search will give you a listing of businesses in the specific category you choose. This makes it easy for you if you have specific areas of interest. The Profit of the business like the Sale Range is provided to help you in your search for the perfect business.

What's Age of Business mean?
How long the business has been established is an important criteria for some buyers and therefore we have included it.

What's Reason for Sale mean?
Is the owner retiring, moving, looking for a lifestyle change? All important factors when you are looking to purchase a business.
